A couple more...

The felt birthday crown.  A little small, but love it.
I do lots of applique baby/kid gifts.
 For a baby and sister.
Burp rags...why not make them cute before they get barf all over them?

 Couch pillows.
I recovered Hazel's poor (4th child) carseat.  It's already in need of another new covering.  I may just have to retire it someday.
My denim quilt that only took me 6 years to get around to finishing.
The girls all have these for church and they make a fun gift for a birthday party.  This particular one is made from a placemat that made it so much simpler to do it quickly.

Last year I copied Pottery Barn Kids' advent calendar.  I love to embroider so it was actually a fun project to do all the individual little squares.  These pictures were taken before it was completely finished and before the squares were sewn to the tree.  I put a big yellow star on the top and a thick brown trunk too.
It's fun because you can either put little candies it each day or we have a cute little clothes pin that we just move from day to day.  OH, and I forgot, I embroidered the number underneath each square.  I will have to take a picture of the truly finished product when I get it out next week.

Time to play a little catch-up

So since I linked to this blog, I thought maybe I should beef it up a little with some other projects that I have done around the house.
Keep in mind...photography is not one of my talents.
Made this while living with my Mom a couple of years ago...hers was cuter.
Love our silhouettes.  I should do a tutorial on how I did them because it was waaayyy easier than other ways that I have seen.  All six took me less than 45 minutes.
My pinned butterfly collection...inspired by the butterflies that sister in law Megan strung across her girls' room.  Mia and Hazel also have butterflies in different sizes pinned up the wall by their beds.  So easy, so cute.
Owl hair clip holder...I believe my sister Abby made this one for me.  Adorable.  It's legs are orange polka dot ribbon that hold all the clips which are so plentiful you can't see it's cute legs.
This headband was made during sister Carrie's big "headband making trip" of 2010.  We made them every night.  I am embarrassed to say that after taking these few pictures of headbands I counted how many I had in all....are you ready? Don't judge me...48 was the grand total (and that only counts the ones put away where they go!) In my defense, I have made 75% of them, and they are all darling.

(A mere fraction of our headband mayhem.)
And then Mia took some pictures.  I liked her "short person" perspective.

This was fast and easy too.  Just took the glass out of a frame and put down cute paper, then screwed in some knobs from Target.
